Explaining a process is easier when you have a starting point. We've expanded and refined Quickmake's diagram templates so you can begin with a structure and adapt it to the work in front of you.
Pick a structure that fits the question
The diagram collection includes flowcharts, org charts, brainstorm maps, user flows, system maps, roadmaps, project timelines, quarterly roadmaps, and funnels.
Use a flowchart to work through a decision. Choose an org chart to explain who does what. Start with a user flow when you need to map the steps between someone's first visit and a successful outcome.
For planning, the timeline and roadmap templates give milestones and notes a shared structure. A system map gives services and their connections a place on the same board.
Edit the diagram on the canvas
Templates insert editable canvas elements. You can change labels, move shapes, and adjust the diagram as your thinking develops. Connected templates include connectors attached to their shapes; the flowchart uses automatic routing to draw the paths between steps.
That makes a template useful beyond the first draft. Rename a step, reposition a decision, or add context beside the diagram while keeping the rest of your project in view.
Start with one real process
Open the Insert panel and choose a diagram template. Replace its sample labels with the steps, roles, or milestones from your project. Then review it from the perspective of someone seeing the process for the first time: what is missing, and where does the next step become unclear?
Keep the supporting details beside the process: add notes and checklists with keyboard shortcuts to record open questions and the tasks that follow from your diagram.
