A canvas gets easier to read when the images, labels, and visual cues work together. This update focuses on the details that help you organize a board and make its structure clear.

Keep images in proportion

We've fixed image rendering in stacks and Auto grids to preserve the image's proportions. A portrait, a landscape photograph, and a square product image can sit in an organized layout without being stretched to match the cell.

For moodboards and reference collections, that helps you judge the source images while keeping the board arranged.

Give each collection a useful name

We've also fixed label editing for stacks and grids. Rename them to describe what they contain: “Photo references,” “First concepts,” or “Ready for review.” Frames continue to support inline renaming too.

Descriptive names help when a project grows beyond a single group of images. They give you and anyone reviewing the board a quick way to understand its parts. Use the shortcuts for adding grids and stacks to create a new collection as you work.

Style shapes with a starting point

Shape controls now offer three presets: Outline, Soft, and Solid. Choose a preset and palette, then customize the fill and stroke colors when you need a more specific treatment. You can also toggle the stroke on or off.

Try using a soft fill for supporting information and a solid shape for the main decision or headline. Repeating the same treatment across related items makes the board easier to scan.

Open an existing board, name its main collections, and give related shapes a consistent style. Explore the design editor or open Quickmake to try the changes.
